2010 AL ANABI RACING SHAKEDOWN AT E'TOWN RULES

PRO MOD NITROUS :

Rules:
  • 1: For cars with nitrous assistance
  • 2: Naturally aspirated vehicles permitted
  • 3: No blowers, turbos, or centrifugal superchargers
  • 4: No cubic inch limit
  • 5: 2,375 lb. Minimum Weight
  • 6: Small Block – Deduct 300 lbs.
  • 7: Must be Pro Mod type door car with working doors
  • 8: Diaper/oil retention device required
  • 9: No altereds or dragsters
  • 10: Courtesy staging in effect
  • 11: Auto start on, set at 7 seconds
  • 12: All NHRA safety rules, license and chassis requirements in effect

  • 2: No screw blowers, NHRA/IHRA legal blowers only

  • 4: Small Block – Deduct 400 lbs.
  • 5: Must be Pro Mod type door car with working doors.

The rules to the Pro Stocks attending are very precise and the Shakedown at E Town would like you to view the rules of theirs in the PDF form from their website. This is an exclusive class with very defined rules that we feel is best not to put into the webpage but reccomend the "Official Rules" Below for download

OUTLAW 10.5

Rules:
  • 1: 3,000 lb. base weight
  • 2: Must run 10.5 tires only, no big tires
  • 3: No Pro Modified or Panel Type cars
  • 4: Single (one) power adder only
  • 5: Diaper/oil retention device required
  • 6: Courtesy staging in effect
  • 7: Auto start on, set at 7 seconds for timeout
  • 8: All NHRA safety rules, license and chassis requirements in effect

  • Deductions

  • 1: Naturally Aspirated – deduct 400 lbs.
  • 2: Small Block NOS – deduct 800 lbs.
  • 3: Big Block NOS – deduct 300 lbs.
  • 4: Single Turbo - Small Block – deduct 200 lbs.
  • 5: Single Turbo – Big Block – deduct 100 lbs.
  • 6: Twin Turbo - Small Block – deduct 100 lbs.
  • 7: Twin Turbo - Big Block - no deductions
  • 8: Small Block Blown – deduct 200 lbs.
  • 9: 4 & 6 Cylinder – deduct 700 lbs

  • 3: Square tube entries permitted

  • 7: Diaper/oil retention device required

  • 11: No Screw Blowers, No Twin Turbos, No 5.3 Bore

  • Deductions

  • 1: Naturally Aspirated – Deduct 600 lbs.
  • 2: Nitrous 650 & smaller – Deduct 200 lbs.
  • 3: Small Block Boost – Deduct 200 lbs.
  • 4: Small Block N20 – Deduct 500 lbs.
  • 5: Clutch assisted cars – Add 100 lbs.
  • 6: Round tube entries – Add 100 lbs.

DRAG RADIAL

Rules:
  • 1: 3,175 lb. base weight
  • 2: DOT Radial Tire, max 12” measured tread widths
  • 3: Converter driven transmissions only
  • 4: Single (one) power adder only
  • 5: Second (2) power adder permitted on Imports
  • 6: After market suspension permitted (add 100 lbs.)
  • 7: Wheelie Bars NOT permitted
  • 8: Diaper/oil retention device required
  • 9: Courtesy staging in effect
  • 10: Auto start on, set at 7 seconds for timeout
  • 11: All NHRA safety rules, license, and chassis requirements in effect

  • Deductions

  • 12: Small Block Nitrous, 4 Cylinder & 6 Cylinder – deduct 600 lbs.
  • 13: Big Block Nitrous – deduct 300 lbs.
  • 14: Naturally Aspirated – deduct 600 lbs.
  • 15: Non Stock Suspension (4 link/ladder bar) – add 100 lbs.

8.50 INDEX

Rules:
  • 1: To qualify for the 8.50 Index race, you must be 9.00 seconds or quicker. In order to expand the eliminator in the 1st round, the qualifying field must be 9.00 or quicker for all cars. In qualifying, if anyone runs quicker than 8.50, you are placed at the bottom of the ladder. If you run quicker than 8.50 in eliminations, in a double breakout, the driver closest to 8.50 wins
  • 2: Sportsman ladder
  • 2: .4 Pro Tree / Heads Up / No Breakout / Quickest ET gets lane choice
  • 3: No Deep Staging
  • 4: Maximum tire 10.5" (example: W33.0/10.5-15W)
    (All cars running 11.00 and quicker must have metal, screw-in valve stems.)
  • 1: Any race fuel permitted including alcohol
  • 2: Minimum vehicle weight: 2800 lbs. for Small Block / 3000 lbs. for Big Block
  • 3: Auto Start set at 7 seconds. Courtesy staging in effect.
  • 4: All NHRA safety rules, license and chassis requirements in effect

  • 5: Mufflers required for Friday night qualifying ONLY. No Bullets allowed. 2 or 3 chambered mufflers recommended.

  • Body/Interior:

  • 1: Full-bodied factory rear wheel drive street type cars
  • 2: A ribbon-type window net SFI Spec 27.1 is mandatory on full bodied cars that are required to have a roll cage
  • 3: Must be street appearing/no gutted interiors/carpeted interior even if rear seat is removed (The interior should look clean and professionally done)
  • 4: No car will be permitted to go faster than the Chassis is certified for by the NHRA
  • 5: Must have door panels
  • 6: Racecar lettering on windows only (Sponsor Logos permitted)
  • 7: Height on hood scoop to be a maximum 9 inches
  • 8: No one-piece fiberglass front ends
  • 9: Back half or stock suspension permitted
  • 10: Windows, Lexan permitted (Roll down windows optional)
  • 11: Must have stock style front suspension
  • 12: No full round or square tube chassis cars
  • 13: On board fire extinguisher is permitted and recommended

  • Electronics:

  • 1: Bracket Racing Aids: No throttle stops, No Electric shifters or Optical sensors. No delay boxes or other driver aided electronics. The application or use of any device, mechanical or electronic, that permit the driver to ascertain the position of their vehicle in relation to the starting line is prohibited.
  • 2: Progressive Nitrous controller system permitted

  • NHRA Rulebook:

    "9.1 computer

  • Engine/Transmission:

  • 1: Trans Shield meeting SFI Spec. 4.1 mandatory in all cars running quicker than 10.99 or 135 mph
  • 2: Oil retention device (Diaper) recommended for all cars running 9.99 & quicker
  • 3: OEM or aftermarket transmissions with a maximum of 5 forward speeds permitted, including "clutchless" models. Any gear change must occur from direct action by the driver. Pneumatic, Electric, Hydraulic shifters prohibited. Clutch release devices prohibited. Trans brakes and 2-steps allowed.
  • 4: Jacket/Pants/Gloves/Neck Collar mandatory in all cars running 9.99 and quicker or 135 mph and quicker
  • 5: NOS permitted as well as other power adders
  • 6: No dragsters
