Introduction To The Shakedown At E Town 2010
 Happening October 1st through the 3rd 2010, The Shakedown at E'town 2010 known now at The Quickest and Fastest Outlaw Drag Race in The World will again rock the New Jersey air with the sound and power of its eight exciting classes featuring The Ultimate 1/8th mile challenge for the ADRL style no holds barred unleashed Pro Mods. Two separate classes for the Quarter Mile doorslammers both supercharged and Nitrous injected where records fall under the lights at Raceway Park. The newest of the classes featured are the Mountain Motor Pro Stocks, this new class WILL NOT DISSAPOINT, Big Cubes, All Motor Power and seasoned drivers now looking for the ultimate crown of Outlaw style racing at this Shakedown. Back in action, the Outlaw 10.5 machines will open them up for the full quarter mile; one of the last venues to let these cars breath and trek the full track's length in every fans dream of that newest 10.5 record set in front of them. Heavy Street returns to the surface with the big brutes of the sport, real street style cars using massive horsepower to give you the best presentation or horsepower unbridled. The wild antics of Extreme Outlaw Drag Radial rides will again thrill you with every wheelstanding blast of power on street tires. The classes end with virtually the closest drag races you will see burning up the track side by side after giant wheelies and crossing the finish line in the allowed 8.50 seconds, a crowd pleaser by all means.

"Tony Pontieri" Champion of 2009 In Outlaw Pro Blown:
Tony Pontieri would stand tall and triumphant as he took his supercharged 69 Camaro Pro Mod to the title and back home to Canada in this 7th annual Shakedown at E Town not to the surprise of any with blistering ET's and MPH from this sharp, well managed team and driver; his final round was against native of PA Kevin McCurdy. Pontieri faced all comers in this wild class of belt driven power brokers namely Mike Moran, Andy Jensen, Todd Moyer, Benny Alfonso, and Frank Patille taking the 1320 by storm five seconds at a time 5.895 taking home a sweep of all the awards. The Barwa Outlaw 1/8th Mile Challenge:
Mike Janis, The Ultimate In Pro Mod Power And 2009 Champion
When it comes to the baddest 1/8th mile machines on earth, look no further than the newest addition of the Shakedown classes and the 2009 Champion Mike Janis. The brutal assault on your senses as these machines as in Janis' case can travel the raceway park 660ft in less than four seconds as Janis set the bar to a new level of 3.73 at over 200 MPH in his rounds with Jan-Cen / Eaton muscle taking all the top awards except MPH with him. The sounds of the potent screw blowers whined through the New Jersey township like nothing seen other than in pure NHRA racing yet the door slammers of the class pounded the pavement with extreme pressure on the massive slicks. Going rounds against Janis were some of the biggest names in the sport, John Stanley, Dwayne Wolfe, Mike Stawicki and Tommy Gray. Janis will now have the honor of keeping this title for a full year as the Al-Anabi Racing and Barwa teams come back in 2010 to try and take it away. Tom Ferrick Outlaw 10.5 Champion of 2009 In The Limelight:
Outlaw 10.5 couldn't have seen better competition with major upsets including the former Champion Joe Newsham of J&E Performance suffering a terrible crash in qualifying at high speed and injuries were sustained yet he is recuperating and the fall of number one qualifier Tim Lynch again setting milestone records with a 6.400 dropped on the boards as Northeast big gun Chuck Ulsch of Gil Mobley Motorsports was eliminated in round one by none other than Shakedown Veteran Rob Golobo who went to the final in an awesome race between the two of them. Coming out of the Outlaw 10.5 madness of anything goes and the 21 competitors in the field was Raceway Parks own Tom Deez Ferrick in his small cubic inch single turbo Chevy S10. The mighty little red truck looked to stand no chance against the behemoth motors and power added street legal race cars but preparation and skill won out in the end making no mistakes through his many rounds, Tom Ferrick will keep this title proudly for the full year as Outlaw 10.5 Champion of 2009.

Mitch George Turns The Championship Title On Its Roof 2009:
The bad street machines were featured strongly this weekend showing the mean muscle of the supercharger, turbocharger and nitrous combinations that represented the "Heavy" class of Outlaws in attendance. Jack Boer would have his Monte Carlo piloted to the final round championship in one of the wildest wins ever with Mitch George at the wheel as "Hitman". George went through the winners beams as the car got sideways with water under a tire from the engine and rolled to a stop leaving the wreckage unharmed with runner up John Carcini saving his own car with excellent driving. The day was nothing short of mind blowing with the class sponsor Ken Doak and team-mate Gary Naughton of K&K Advanced Door Car Technologies getting knocked out early in the rounds after their stellar win in Orlando and Tommy Mauro back in the game after a short hiatus. Mitch George would come to the winners circle less the Championship Monte Carlo along with him and accept his title standing without his winning ride.

Dwayne "Big Daddy" Gutridge Is The Man In Drag Radial:
Drag radial racers had to have known that records were available to destroy one run at a time as the Shakedown saw more and more of the potential coming from the wild combinations take it to the track and dominate all of the drag radial heroes of past like number one qualifiers Dave Hance of New York Motorsports, Paul "Corvette" Major suffering an incident with a wall during eliminations crashing the wild Corvette and the move of the day was Alex Vrettos stopping the clocks with a sub 6.90 second pass with a 6.899 and was part of the six second club acknowledged at the Shakedown. "Big Daddy" Dwayne Gutridge also reached this six second feat during his rounds and is now equally famous partners as he comes away the champion with the "Big Daddy" Performance Mustang. Gutridge will be the stand-alone champion of the Shakedown 2009 for a full year as this class progresses to new levels.

Gary Romonoyske, New Yorks Finest In Outlaw 8.50 Index Championship:
Again, the Shakedown at E Town Index racers never cease to amaze when it comes to action, close racing and car counts almost meeting those of the other classes combined to the tune of 63 entrants and 71 tech cards. Wild Wheels up action was the tone set for the weekend of racing as the formidable combination of racing "Heads Up" and going fast was a breath of fresh air for fans of very cool cars. Young driver TJ Kasper of Kaspers Korner Racing fell short of qualifying after winning the Raceway Parks Championship two years in a row in points while doing double duty in Outlaw 10.5, Bill Verzilli and wife Susan who managed to create a bonus award fund also missed the ladder with a completely untested car from their Verzilli Racing. Top three qualifiers would be as noted respectively, Mark Bowen from J&E Performance, Joseph Liano, and True Street Super Champ Marc Schankweiler of Marschan Motorsports. Though last years Champion Bill Cannon failed to make the cut in this competition its just flat out hard as Harry Gerb and his outstanding Firebird took runner up from H-J Motorsports to the new champion who was unstoppable in all passes laying down just the right combination of power and skill to make this class one of the most popular of the weekend for many fans who now know they have an option to big dollar racing. Gary Romonoyske who was in the top five qualified stood the test of round wins to take this years title and bring it home to New York for the year 2009.
